The Pipeline Integrity Inspector is responsible for, but not limited to, the following responsibilities:
· Directly assess pipelines using MT, UT, and VT;
· Perform existing coating assessment;
· Collect CP Readings and soil samples;
· Perform MIC tests;
· Use a digital pit gauge and other advanced methods to map corrosion and mechanical damage;
· Internal corrosion direct assessment (ICDA);
· External corrosion direct assessment (ECDA);
· ILI verification;
· SCC investigation;
· Run R-string and KAPA calculations;
· Perform UT thickness, Shear Wave and Phased Array Inspections for crack detection and sizing;
· Manage projects and resolve situations directly with clients;
· Ensure operational safety of all job-relevant equipment;
· Implement supervisory instructions with minimal guidance;
· Report to the Director of Pipeline Integrity; and,
· Any other operational duties relating to Pipeline Integrity Operations.
Skills:
Required:
· Direct Assessment experience (at least 1 year);
· Current NDE Certifications in MT, PT, UT, and/or VT;
Preferred:
· Shear Wave and/or Phased Array Certifications
· NACE Certifications
· High School Diploma or GED;
· Bachelor or Advanced Degree a plus;
Other Requirements:
· Able to meet travel requirements;
· Efficiently carry out supervisor’s instruction;
· Effective communication skills;
· Above average computer skills—Spreadsheet and Word Processing software;
· Able to meet a “Call Out” work schedule;
· Knowledgeable with OSHA’s General and Construction safety industries;
· Proficient in problem solving;
· Punctual;
· Able to pass FBI background check for T&R purposes;
· Able to pass Motor Vehicle Record check
· Capable of passing Company Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing with lifts of 25 pounds or more.
