MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

Primary Functions:
• Rope Access Training: Candidate will be responsible for implementing/organizing and executing the Rope Access Training program in accordance with Ropeworks Rope Access Training Guidelines and Procedures.
• Rope Access Equipment Inspections and Certifications: Candidate will be responsible for conducting equipment inspections of inventoried equipment as well as equipment on project sites. Candidate will also be responsible for ensuring project equipment certifications are within date and executing action plans to ensure all projects stay complaint with Rope Access Equipment Procedures. Travel to project sites may be required.
• Project Bidding / Job-Site Walkdowns: Candidate may be required to assist in project bidding by visiting the potential job-site to determine project requirements such as: manpower needs, duration, equipment needs, project execution plans to meeting client specific request.
• Safety Audits: The candidate will be responsible for visiting rope access projects to conduct routine safety audits.

Secondary Functions:
• Project Management Assistance: Assist Project Manager’s with recruiting, personnel placement, equipment requisitions and logistics of projects as needed.
• Rope Access Procedure Review and Development: Assist in the development of rope access procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe, efficient working environment.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• SPRAT/IRATA Rope Access Level III preferred
• TWIC preferred
• SafGulf preferred
• BOSIET/HUET/Water Survival preferred
• Other offshore SEMS certifications preferred
• If candidate does not have offshore SEMS certifications they must be physically able to obtain
• Ability to locate, understand and apply technical standards and specifications, industrial safety regulations, rope access standards of practice and Company (or customer) policies, procedures, and work instructions
• Experience with Rope Access projects to include: painting and blasting, insulation, NDE inspections, confine space entry / rescue, specialized rigging projects and light/heavy mechanical work

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

• If assigned by the Company, must undergo and successfully pass medical clearance examination(s), physical agility test(s), and/or functional capacity test(s) administered by Company-approved clinicians.
• Capable of carrying out strenuous, repetitive, or tedious work often in adverse conditions (heat, cold, wind, extreme height, darkness, etc.) and often for extended periods of time. *
• Frequent carrying, pushing, and pulling motions while completing work tasks or managing tools/equipment is to be expected. Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs and occasional lifting up to 60 lbs without assistance. *
• Work tasks can be particularly stressful to fingers, hands, wrists, elbows, shoulders, neck and spine.
• Repetitive hand and finger manipulation tasks, most often while wearing protective gloves.
• Repetitive use of hips, knees, ankles, and feet while operating rope systems, using industrial ladders, or moving around work sites.
• Must possess adequate near and distance vision, hearing, and speaking ability.
