The Level III NDT Technician is responsible for the NDT operations for which qualified and assigned and should be capable of interpreting and evaluating results in terms of existing codes, standards, and specifications. Capable of developing, qualifying, and approving procedures; establishing and approving techniques; interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures; and designating the particular NDT methods, techniques and procedures to be used. The primary function of this position is to ensure the implementation, maintenance and on-going development of NDT personnel qualification and certification.



• Periodically review and assist in the update of NDT certification examinations to ensure the effectiveness of this key assessment process.

• Revise NDT personnel qualification and certification procedures as necessary to maintain program compliance.

• Develop and maintain all specifications for NDT, including the development and maintenance of all NDT technical procedures, forms and supporting documentation.

• Provide support for training initiatives relating to the areas which assigned, and other training as requested by supervision.

• Provide training, as necessary, to affected personnel, including customers, to obtain program compliance, process efficiency and effectiveness, cooperation, continued education, and morale.


• Perform other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent, technical school or college credits preferred.
• Must possess a current ASNT NDE Level III certificate in the NDT method responsible; and possess adequate knowledge in the NDE method responsible. (MT/PT/UT/RT)
• Proven ability to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice.
• Proven ability to prioritize and complete work assignments by specific deadlines.
• Proven ability to follow and communicate to subordinates precise directions and procedures of the customer on the project.
• Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
