Title : Mechanical Integrity API Inspector.

Location : Mobile, AL



Summary :

The primary focus will be on inspection and assessment of tanks, vessels, piping and other API and ASME components. This position will report to our Mobile, AL office.



Responsibilities and duties :
◾Performs inspections of tanks, pressure vessels and piping for compliance with standards and regulations while ensuring quality control and compliance of inspections
◾Point of contact for customer for specific inspection projects
◾Ability to recommend reexamination intervals on components based on standard and regulatory requirements
◾Ability to reviews records, reports and drawings for data acquisition for complete inspections
◾Reviews changes in procedures, standards or laws
◾Aid in the recommendation of repairs and alterations to tanks, pressure vessels, piping and other components in the field utilizing current standards and industry practice
◾Creates daily and end of job reports
◾Supervises the work of Non-Destructive Testing technicians in the field to ensure complete inspections
◾Performs related work as assigned
Skills:

Requirements :
◾2 to 5 years of experience in tank, vessel and piping integrity inspection as an API Inspector
◾70%+ travel
◾Located in or willing to relocate to the Mobile, AL area
◾A minimum of one of the following 3 certifications – API – 653, 510, 570 Certifications. Having multiple is a plus
◾Industrial operations, and maintenance experience is a plus
◾Strong leadership skills and ability to work unsupervised
◾Strong organizational skills
◾Ability to write reports detailing assessment results
◾Ability to multi-task and work in a growing environment
◾Thorough knowledge of NDE methods and uses
◾Engineering background (or Engineering Degree) is a plus but not necessary
