As a Level II Technician you are qualified to set up and calibrate equipment and to interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. As a Level II Technicians you are familiar with the scope and limitations of the method of NDT being used and should exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistants and Level I Technicians.
Responsibilities:
Maintain safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concerns
Set-up and calibrate equipment
Conduct tests with appropriate NDT Technique
Interpret, evaluate and document results
Familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and shall be capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel
Familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer
Capable of working with minimal supervision
Contribute effectively to a team environment
Communicate effectively both written and verbal
Comply with all CUT and Client quality/safety procedures and policies
Compile field notes and drawings to produce technical reports
Radiography Only
Operate and maintain radiographic equipment as necessary and where applicable
Transport industrial radiographic equipment in accordance with all applicable federal/state transportation regulations and local requirements
Utilize industrial radiographic equipment in a manner prescribed by the manufacturer and in accordance with all applicable federal/state regulations and local requirements
Create an atmosphere of trust and respect
Coach/Mentor Team Members
Communicate with customers and other parties in such a manner as to benefit the professional reputation of the company
