Primary duties will be Nondestructive inspection (NDI) using the Ultrasonic Thickness, Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle inspection methods. The individual shall be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method, and shall be familiar with industry standards and specifications. The Level II shall be capable of directing the work of trainees and Level I personnel in the technique/method in which they are certified and shall be capable of developing written techniques to be submitted for Level III for approval.
Skills:
Responsibilities
•Set-up, calibrate and inspect tube and shell heat exchangers utilizing Eddy Current inspections. Set-up, calibrate and inspect vessels, interpret results per customer requirements.
•Understands and utilizes safe work practices

Essential Job Functions:
•Level 2 Certification in UTT, PT or MT
•Maintains a safe, secure work environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices
•Supervise Trainees or Level 1’s on the job site.
•Maintains advanced NDT certification.

Job Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or equivalent
•Pass a Near Vision exam either corrected/uncorrected and a successful completion of a Color Discrimination Test
•Minimum 2 yrs experience in NDT field as a certified technician in Ultrasonic Thickness, Liquid Penetrant or Magnetic Particle
•Strong attention to detail, close observation and concentration skills to work with computers and electronic equipment
•Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English
•Travel 0-75%

Desired Skills:
•Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
•Must be able to walk and climb and maneuver within a plant environment and gain access to elevated platforms using ladders or stairs.
•Must be able to perform routine office duties
•Must be able to travel to off-site work locations
•Good communication skills
•Effective multitasking

Work Conditions:
•Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere, so be willing to work in adapting environment and climates
•Position will interact with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel
•Must wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection
•Position may be require out of town travel on a periodic basis
