MISTRAS is hiring Senior Facility Inspectors for work in the North Slope, AK.

The Senior Facility Inspector will lead all contract inspection activities within their designated area(s) of responsibility. The work schedule will be a rotational hitch of 21 days on followed by 21 days off. Daily work shifts will be 12 hours.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

Responsible for providing leadership, oversight, and management of all Mistras Inspection activities within their area(s) of responsibility on the North Slope of Alaska.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Current API-570 Certification with 5 years of relevant experience inspecting pressurized piping systems
Basic understanding of damage mechanisms associated with upstream operations
Ability to read P&ID's and circuitize piping systems based on process service, materials and temperatures
Ability to follow and draft standard piping isometric drawings
Strong understanding of NDT techniques, applications and limitations
Ability to prepare and review formal inspection reports
Ability to provide mentoring and other feedback as necessary to personnel within AOR
Experience working with an Inspection Data Management System (IDMS)
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically Excel
Strong customer relation skills.
Strong problem solving skills.
Ability to effectively plan inspection daily work scopes, one week and two week look-ahead’s, ability to forecast timelines and target dates for project completion estimates based on given work scopes.

PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES:

Current API-510 & API-653 certifications with working experience
Current level I or higher Rope Access certification (IRATA or SPRAT)
Current level II NDT certifications in MT, PT & UT
AWS-CWI
NACE-CIP

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

Must be able to routinely lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to tolerate working in extreme climates (subzero temperatures) for extended periods of time
Must be able to tolerate numerous hours spent stooping, crawling, kneeling, standing and walking.
Must be comfortable working in cramped or confined spaces.
Must wear required protective and safety equipment (cold weather gear, safety glasses, hard hats, etc.)
