Position Summary:

Acuren Inspection is looking for a qualified NDT Level II (RT) Technician to support our operations in Smithville, MO office.

Responsibilities:

Set up and utilize nondestructive testing equipment
Calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
The RT Level II Technician may be responsible for on-the-job training and guidance of Trainees and RT Assistants.  CR/DR certs are a plus or willingness to train and certify in CR/DR.

Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
May instruct and supervise others
Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Some college preferred
NDT Level II Certification in RT with OJT and state card
IRRSP
CR/DR certs are a plus or willingness to train and certify in CR/DR.
MT, PT, UTT is a plus
Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
Knowledge of NDT equipment
