In this role the successful individual will be able to perform x-ray of pipe-end SAW welds with a CR (Fuji) radiographic system. Assistants with respect to radiation safety, image acquisition, image interpretation and processing of pipe
Skills:
• Level I Ultrasonic Certification to SNT-TC-1A with minimum 400 hours of documented OJT
• Must be able to pass the Math Skills Test
• Certification to basic in-house radiation safety training course required
• UT experience in lamination/thickness testing and/or radiographic experience with API 5L, AWS or equivalent is desirable
• 20/22 Corrected Near Vision in both eyes (tested annually)
•Strong attention to detail, close observation and concentration skills
•Excellent decision making, planning and organizational skills
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, mechanical aptitude
•Completion of Basic Math Assessment required
•Able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise
•Overtime and shift work required
Preferred:
•Current IRRSP Radiation Safety Certificate a plus
