Radiography Technicians - Level II

JOB DESCRIPTION: To be a Certified Level II or III in accordance with ASNT-SNT-TC-1A and written Practice. Also, set-up, evaluate and interpret film quality according to the inspection & construction code of piping, vessels, tanks, infrastructure components and new DOT PHMSA pipeline. May also collect, tabulate-sort and turn in to RT II/III Film Interpreters for Review-Evaluation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Shooting film in fast paced environment.
• Prepare, set-up equipment and complete all necessary paperwork in timely manner.
• Responsible for operation of Radiography Tasks in accordance with applicable regulations and written procedures.
• Responsible for site security and site safety.
• Prevent unauthorized personnel from entering work area. Set up barriers and limited entry.
• Evaluate and interpret results according to the code of construction or customers specifications.
• Train and mentor assistants in safe operations for higher levels of responsibility.
• Responsible for producing acceptable and qualitative code work.
• Maintain and promote a positive attitude toward all Crews, Client-Customer, Contractors, and Facility Leadership.
Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience Level II Radiography knowledge and Industrial experience is preferred.
• Level II 3-5 years of experience shooting film
• Successfully pass RT Level II or III General, Specific, and Practical Composite Score of 80% or better.
• Current IRRSP Card or Equivalent; Must be able to qualify and pass IRRSP Exam
• Pass a Jaeger 1 Eye Exam.
• Good Report Writing Skills with good grammar and clarity.
• Knowledge of industrial math, arithmetic and algebra used in Radiography.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Strong Work Ethic with emphasis on Quality of work.
• Pre-Employment Drug and alcohol screens. May be performed randomly. TWIC Card Required or Ability to get one ASAP.

SHIFT/HOURS: Shifts & Hours will vary – Must be flexible – May Travel 50% to 75% of time
PAY RATE: Competitive Pay: Depends on Experience; Prefer 3-5 years: Depending on Work Location (COLA- Costs of Living Allowance-Per Diem).
TERM: Full Time
