Position Summary:

Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for a Level II Guided Wave Technician to support our operations in Conroe TX . Preference will be given to technicians that are multi-certified. Relocation is not required.

Responsibilities:

Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment, conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
Perform Guided Wave inspections using Guided Ultrasonic Ltd. equipment (G3/G4/G4m.
Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
Organize and report test results
Perform specialized inspections
May instruct and supervise others
Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:

Level II Guided Wave UT
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Guided Wave Ultrasonics Level II Technician utilizing Guided Ultrasonic Ltd. equipment (G3/G4/G4m)
Must have current GULT Level 2 ‘XB’ endorsement
Additional GULT Level 2 ‘SP’, ‘AA’ or ‘PM’ endorsements are a plus

Additional UT certifications (UTSW, PAUT, ToFD) preferred
Must be able to be certified to ASNT TC-1A standards and complete Acuren NDT certification testing requirements. Other international certification schemes are be considered or supplemented such as PCN, TUV, CSGB, etc.
