Universal flaw detector "Tomographic" UD4-TM is a flaw detector of the 4th generation. Description meanings: device type - "Universal", reference designation - "UD4-TM", trade mark - "Tomographic".

Basic concept and methodic solutions of the "Tomographic" UD4-TM:

-Automatic TCG setting.
-Probe certification (measurement of actual parameters of each applied probe).
-Measurement of acoustic properties of the tested object material without using the additional metrologic equipment.
-Visualization of the flaw position within metal layers or welds.
-Measurement of the flaw equivalent square.
-Estimation of the flaw configuration and size.

Digital technologies implemented in "Tomographic" UD4-TM allow setting various flaw detector applications, which maximally meet the needs of each user, in one device. Needed applications are selected and activated likewise Windows by using the user menu where each setting provides a special flaw detecting (NDT) device: Flaw Detector, Thickness gauge, Tensometer, etc.

"Tomographic" UD4-TM also supports the multitask mode when several ultrasound testing applications can be simultaneously operated. For instance, the flaw detector user can operate all thickness gauging modes and vice versa.

"Tomographic" UD4-TM is fully compatible with various special NDT tools, can be equipped with a large set of accessories: Path sensor, Acoustic scanner, Optical probe coordinates fixation system as well as other integration and visualisation tools. The UD4-TM scan feature is intended to visualize the testing process in hard-to-reach places. By using the video scanner, the tested area and probe signal can be simultaneously displayed.

Flexible functionality, simple settings and user-friendly operating "Tomographic" UD4-TM to a universal ultrasound and eddy current testing instrument, enabling to stop using special flaw detectors, unify the instrumentation pool, metrologic provision and totally increase the testing reliability and productivity.
