Durr NDT Continues to Set Standards
Posted:
Once again, DÜRR NDT is paving the way in digital radiography. After
already creating a sensation in 2006 with the world's first scanner to boast a
basic spatial resolution (SRb) of 40 µm, DÜRR NDT is now set to make an
impact with the first scanner certified by BAM for a maximum SRb of 30 µm.

The more delicate the work piece is and the higher the testing requirements
for intricate components (especially from the aerospace sector), the higher
the required resolution of the overall system. The highest scan resolution
achieved to date is 40 µm – until now. As of June 2015, DÜRR NDT stands
as the only manufacturer in the world to provide a BAM certificate confirming
a BSR of 30 µm.

The combination of the proprietary TreFoc Technology in the tried and tested
HD-CR 35 NDT with new ultra-high resolution image plates (UH-IPs) is
responsible for this distinct difference. Now, for the first time, the HD-CR 35
NDT provides an image plate scanner that can satisfy the highest testing
requirements, using the ultra-high resolution UH-IPs.

Effective immediately, all HD-CR 35 NDT devices will be supplied on the
basis of the new certificate. Because of its sophisticated design, the HD-CR
35 NDT has the ability to reliably scan image plates with an even higher
resolution, when they become available, without requiring any retrofitting
work. So those deciding in favour of HD technology from DÜRR NDT are
ensured compatibility for future advancements. Ask for a live demo today
