Yvon Lemay appointed COO of PRAGMA

Québec City, November 13 2018 – PRAGMA is proud to announce that Mr. Yvon Lemay joins the team as Chief of Operations (COO). « Yvon will help us achieve our goals for innovation and new product releases. With our recent introduction of the PragmaPro and now Yvon joining us, I can imagine that a few people are getting nervous about what we’ll release next ! » says PRAGMA CEO François Mainguy. « From the mid-90’s onwards, Yvon and I both worked on the foundations of what became the phased array technology the NDT market knows today », he adds.
Yvon Lemay worked at R/D Tech (then Olympus) from 1993 to 2010. From 2010 to 2015, he worked on different large scale government IT contracts and from 2015 to 2017 he was senior project manager at Optel Vision for high-speed computer vision inspection lines. As a system programmer, he was part of the FOCUS project, the first industrial phased array instrument at R/D Tech. He has also overseen early software development of the OmniScan portable system. He also took part of the engineering and delivery of several large scale gantry systems using 3D contour following.
Now COO at PRAGMA, Yvon Lemay says that « François (Mainguy) and his great team have developed over the years a very effective technology integration for NDT. I am then quite thrilled to bring my experience, my ideas and my energy to help create a new NDT powerhouse. » He adds: « The PRAGMA team is very solution/quality/delivery oriented, so you should see great products from PRAGMA in 2018. »
