Posted:
Berg Engineering & Sales, Company Inc., specializing in nondestructive and material testing equipment and service, has launched sales of the latest model of digital UCI hardness testers – the SonoDur2. With a more durable, larger probe base, data logging in line with current Windows software, and automatic software updates, the SonoDur2 replaces GE’s MIC 10 and 20 as the new standard for reliable UCI hardness testing.

Crafted by NewSonic, the SonoDur2 utilizes manual and motorized probes with test forces between 1N(100gram) to 100N(10Kgf) to offer quick and precise on-site measurements of metals from aluminum to steel, in accordance with ASTM A1038 and DIN 50159 standards.

The SonoDur2 uses a bright, touch-screen TFT-color-display with an intuitive menu system for easy set up and clear display of measurement results, including: averages, history, tolerance thresholds and conversions to other hardness scales.
With its straightforward, repeatable results and lightweight portability, the SonoDur2 ensures all material testing is accurate and dependable.

The SonoDur2 comes equipped with:

EN ISO 18265, ASTM E 140 and DIN 50150 material tables
4GB of memory (expandable to 32GB)
Replaceable Li-Ion Battery-Pack
External charger
PC SonoLink software
