Sensor Networks, Inc. Invests in Expanded Capacity to Produce UT Wedges
STATE COLLEGE, PA - Sensor Networks, Inc. (SNI) expanded its capacity to deliver high-precision, standard and custom Ultrasonic Transducer wedges for its NDT customers. "SNI has invested over $300,000 in improved wedge signal-to-noise acoustic performance and additional CNC machines in order to meet new demand caused by supply-chain disruptions in the market. We also increased our engineering and production staff in order to keep up with the expanded workload." said Jeff Anderson, President & GM of SNI. Furthermore, recent changes to Section V of the ASME BPV Code mandates radiusing any wedge used on test surfaces <14" (350 mm) diameter - a service SNI is well equipped to do. Precision-engineered & fabricated wedges are essential to many UT exams. "SNI’s SensorScan® Wedges are used heavily in the power generation, aerospace and oil & gas industries – all safety-critical and essential services to global infrastructure" noted Anderson. SNI manufacturers both conventional and phased-array wedges in a wide variety of configurations. Enhanced machine capabilities and a streamlined production process provide our customers top-level products with fast turn-around times. For a limited time, SNI is offering a complimentary 24" x 36" wall poster showing the wide range of customization options for pipe and vessel weld inspection.
