I completed a 1000 hour program under the supervision and training of union instructors. Learned all welding processes in all positions.

After completing vocational training, I went on to have a rewarding career as a very skilled welder in many demanding processes. As personally rewarding of a career it was; I am now pursuing a life long career as an NDT technician…

I started my NDT career at Structural Technology Inc. A leading service provider in Aerial fire apparatus testing and other areas like dielectric and acoustic emissions testing on utility trucks, bridge cranes, and union pacific service trucks…

I attained my 40 hour radiation safety course through LAMCO & Associates, and I am currently employed by Acuren Inspection as and assistant MT, PT, UT, ET and RT. I also have valid and up to date TWIC and OSHA safety cards.

Duties Include: As a representative of STI our duty is to perform nothing less than top quality inspection for the men and woman who carry the sole purpose of saving lives on a daily biases. So my job as an inspector is to make sure that the equipment they use is fully functional and safe. In order to do this we use the means of NDT. Methods used are MT, PT, UT, and VT. MT is conducted by inspection of all outriggers, turret, and weldements that may have surface or subsurface cracks. UT is used as a thickness measurement (straight beam)to check all aerial hinge pins for possible flaws within and used to check possible wear due to extending ladder. PT is conducted only to aluminum aerial ladders or as a possible back up process where access with mag is inaccessible to flaw location. VT visual is our most valuable tool… the truck is thoroughly inspected from bottom to top to locate any possible discontinuities. There is much more than just NDT that I as a technician have to perform, but safety is our number one goal.
