Experience
CURRENT Level 2 UT Inspector Northrop Grumman
Carry out UT (ultra sonic testing) on carbon fiber, E glass and S glass
material. Use shear wave on
steel structure and pipe systems. Fallow NDT procedures as specified
by level 3 and evaluate
indications to the acceptance standard.
Use Olympus tomoview automatic UT scan with 10 transducers and
use Olympus phased array on
Composite material and welded joints.
Help with design of omni scan 15 transducer automatic scan using
tomoview.
Write reports of non conformance for navsea review...Help train level
1 inspectors. Use AutoCAD 3
D/Auto Desk to make drawings for NDT reports. Use niton XL-II 800
alloy analyzer to identify
different material types
4/2009 -2/2010 Quality Control Level 2 Seeman Composites
Carry out NDT using UT (ultra sonic testing) on carbon fiber composite
material. Check for conforming thickness and dimension and structural
integrity using tensile pull and various other NDT methods. Work closely
with level 3 UT inspector and ABS/Sup Ships. Use machine shop
equipment for precision cutting. Prepare NDT reports against blue prints.
Follow written procedures for NDT, use A CAD 3 D/CRTIA for CNC and 5
axis machine shop programming.

Instruct other welders and carry out NDT for welder qualification. Possess
Level II certification in VT, PT and UT. I am Experienced in RT. Work
closely with Nav Sea and ABS for acceptance standards under MIL
Std2035 and MIL Std248 and MIL Std271. Write welding procedures,
Inspect structural integrity against blue prints. Submit design changes to
Engineering. Prepare reports of non-conformance. Weld aluminum
passenger ferries, LCS combat ships and various other water craft
transportation. Assume fitting responsibilities as needed. Determine cost
effective solutions to design, process or regulatory issues.
