Field Activities

• Study and scrutinizing Isometric drawings, part components drawings.
• Review end-to-end process to ensure adherence to predefined guidelines for
o Method Statement & Quality Control Procedures in line with specifications
o Pre-Qualification (PQ) documents of vendor according to the project specification
o WPS, PQR & WPQ / WQT as per code requirements; documents such as Test Package, Punch list, Weld map in drawings prior to start of the work

Shop Activities

• Undertake end-to-end inspection of
o Incoming raw material traceability and identification such as engraving, hot stamping, stenciling, painting based on Material Traceability Record (MTR) and attestation report preparation
o Base metal and joint preparation before welding
o Surface preparation and primer coating prior to painting
o Finished welds and size of weldment after welding (Visual)
o Final Inspection of the product before dispatch
• Verifying Test Certificates (TC) of raw materials in line with relevant standards and codes
• Conducting WQT for each project as per the requirements as well as preparing & reviewing of WPS, PQR, and WQT with reference to codes and standards requirements; reviewing heat treatment chart
• Preparing of weld map at each stage and arranging Non-Destructive Examinations (NDT) as per job priority while monitoring each stage of fabrication at shop
• Liaising with Authorized Inspector from inspection agencies namely SBM Offshore, GE, LRA, IBR, BV, TPL etc and customers/ clients for job clearance with keen eye on strict adherence to quality parameters
• Preparing and publishing daily shop inspection/ activities report and issuing non-conformity to the job violating quality requirements
• Conducting & witnessing of Hydro and Pneumatic testing

Vendor Management

• Inspecting raw material to ensure fulfillment of the agreement terms between vendor and client
• Calibrating Pressure, Temperature & Metrological Instruments as well as electrical & electronic measuring instruments using Multi product Calibrator,
• Coordinating and supervising inspection of NDT and calibration works to be performed as well as lifting tools such as shackles, hooks, slings, pulleys etc
• Preparing QC procedures & maintaining related documents as per International Standards and preparing WPS/ PQR/ WPQ with reference to codes and standards
• Witnessing of Hydrostatic and Pneumatic Test, while ensuring strict compliance with predefined standards of all painting & insulation activities and coordinating with client for Technical Queries and issue resolution
• Maintaining inspection report, records & summary while reviewing all documents as per QP and client specification
• Preparing and submitting final delivery documents for the Projects
• Conducting Training Sessions on Welding (AWS/CSWIP Preparatory), ASNT NDT Level II and other quality related courses.
