Education
Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology ITT Technical Institute, Norfolk, Virginia. Graduate: September 1999
Experience
•Ability to perform NDT level 2 inspections in accordance with established or recognized techniques and procedures used by U.S. Navy. On board naval nuclear aircraft carrier’s, nuclear submarine’s and commercial vessels.
•Experience working with various engineering trades and with other skilled professionals.
•Ability to work under minimal supervision.
•Experience in locating jobs using schematics or blueprints.
•Ability to determine kinds of tools and equipment needed to safely and efficiently perform assigned task such as: Pneumatic tool’s, pie gauge’s, tape measure, gauss gauge, six inch scale, finger gauge’s, yoke’s, transducer’s, etc.
•Able to work on and climb ladders, work in extreme temperatures hot or cold, shipboard, shipyards, industrial conditions and confined spaces.
•Experience in supervision: Supervised a crew of NDT inspectors for six months.
•Experience in electronic test equipment: multi/analog meters, oscilloscope, and computers, power supplies and function generators.
•Ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams for AC/DC electronic circuits, assembly and troubleshooting.
•Computer skills such as: MS-DOS, Wordpad, WordPerfect, Excel and Windows.
•Ability to solder and desolder small component’s such as: resistor’s, transistor’s, diode’s, etc. to circuit boards.
•Ability to assemble electronic devices.
•Installing hardware and/or software using the utilities of MS-DOS and Windows.
•Experienced in analog and digital circuit theory, design, and troubleshooting.
