Job Title: Certified Level II Penetrant Inspector


• Perform fluorescent penetrant inspection to ASNT 1417, NAS 410 standards and to customer's specifications and internal work instructions. Process/ evaluate aluminum/titanium aerospace parts, write nonconformance reports/tags when relevant indications our present. Forward discrepancy information to engineering for further disposition.
• Document inspection data/daily checks/surveillance accurately on required forms.
• Operate/Monitor automated anti-static penetrant process (100 line ) by verifying parts our being processed to spec. and requirements are being met and recorded in digital system ( FDAQ computer software ) , also operate liquid penetrant process manual ( 200) line.
• Experience in Magnetic particle inspection of steel parts.
• Responsible for training new inspectors in "Spirit" process & test specifications including First Article Inspections (FAI) and uses of calibrated instruments/tools as required. • Assist quality manager with customer, OEM, AS9100 and Nadcap audits, write disposition on nonconformance parts and answer nonconformance reports. Perform internal pre-audits. Create quality work instructions and work procedures using customer specifications. Perform gap analysis to set up new process lines. Perform and schedule calibration on all precision measuring tools, shop and lab equipment
• Perform final inspection to specifications and internal work instructions, using calibrated tools/instruments such as – micrometers, thickness, gauges, air gauges to meet critical dimensional/visual requirements.
• Review customers purchase order to verify work order/process preformed was correct and approved before signing certification form that goes with parts to final customer.

• Preform Nital Etch inspection on steel landing gear parts, evaluate and record results.
• Responsible for training new inspectors in CPI process & test specifications including First Article Inspections (FAI) and uses of calibrated instruments/tools as required. • Certified to inspect. Multiple surface enchantment processes following AS9100 Quality procedures and NADCAP, such as shot-peening, chem-film/alodine, cadmium plating, electro-less nickel plating, anodize, hard chrome, Primer, Topcoat and tefflon of aerospace parts.
• Experienced in Final inspection for steel parts and wet processes for aluminum parts including paint.
• Preform stress relieving, heat treating and hydrogen embrittlement on steel parts
• Assist Quality and Planning managers in work flow improvement, minimize work order and maximize production turn time while meeting all requirements.
