NDE/NDT for Highway and Bridges: Structural Materials Technology 2016

This conference promotes the exchange of information among national and international researchers, transportation officials, practitioners and transportation infrastructure owners on the application of Nondestructive Testing (NDT) technologies and the implementation of Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) for the condition assessment of highway infrastructure including bridges, pavements, and tunnels.
The conference will have presentations on the state-of-the-art and the state-of-the-practice on NDT/NDE and SHM; including field applications, case studies, technology innovation and implementation, condition assessment of bridge foundations, evaluation of rigid and flexible pavements, quality control/quality assurance (QC/QA) practices, condition assessment methods and data fusion and data integration in highway infrastructure evaluation and management programs.
There will be panel discussions and workshops this year at SMT conference to improve communication between stakeholders, academia, federal and state agencies, researchers and practitioners, and to better transfer NDE technologies to end users.
