DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interprets, applies and complies with Goodrich and customer codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the application of nondestructive testing.
Performs ultrasonic, radiographic, and penetrant inspections
Performs technical investigations and research duties to establish standards and methods for quality control of materials, parts and assemblies
Provides technical assistance to Level I technicians on all NDT matters regarding how to inspect, inspection methods to use, arbitrating and resolution of flaw interpretation/evaluations questions
Maintains NDT personnel records and the administrative functions associated with technique approvals and technical procedure writing.
Assists with on site audits and in formulating corrective action plans were there are any non-conformances.
Requires participation in team decision making and problem solving, actively supporting a productive, cost efficient environment.
Reviews and approves engineering disposition for correction of discrepant conditions of materials, parts and assemblies and serves as the MRB representative.
Processes and inspects product as required.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Knowledge, skills, abilities required to pass NDT Level II testing.
Knowledge of basic computer skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented with good organization and administrative skills.
Ability to use computer and software skills (especially Excel )
Ability to use Math skills (geometry, decimals, multiplication)
Ability to read and interpret scales (rulers, etc.)
Ability to ready blueprints

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 5 years experience in setting up and performing ultrasonic, radiographic, and penetrant inspections comparable to a Level II. Candidates must be able to work shift work, overtime, rotating weekends and/or irregular schedules. Experience with Automated C-Scan Ultrasonics and Digital Radiography highly desired.
