1 SUMMARY
1.1.1 The primary function of the Department Manager LCF will be to ensure efficient and orderly operations
of all aspects of his/her department.
1.1.2 This position will provide a leadership role in the department, and responsible for monitoring and
maintaining department throughput.
1.1.3 Must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to:
• ability to supervise a staff of engineers and technicians.
• leadership and managerial skills in activities in managing the facilities of the department with
specific responsibilities for the revenue development, profitability, pricing and service growth.
• ability to ensure compliance with safety rules, Company policies and procedures.
• skills to communicate, monitor and ensure progress toward attainment of location and Company
goals.
1.1.4 This position is a Manager level and will report to the General Manager.

2 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1.1 Responsible for monitoring and maintaining daily workload (backlog) and turnaround time in the
LCF department.
2.1.2 Responsible for meeting with clients to determine their requirements; develops proposals including
cost estimates, project plan, and terms and conditions.
2.1.3 Responsible for managing large and small LCF projects.
2.1.4 Responsible for organizing and scheduling work for LCF technician(s).
2.1.5 Responsible for personnel management of assigned staff including hiring, training, and assignments,
performance evaluations, salary administration, discipline, and employee morale.
2.1.6 Responsible for project management including staff assignments, equipment allocations, schedules,
and costs.
2.1.7 Responsible for the development and implementation of the annual budget of the department.
2.1.8 Ensures all work is performed in accordance with company procedures and regulatory agencies’
regulations.
2.1.9 Responsible for marketing and developing the business in his/her area of expertise.
2.1.10 Provide direction and technical decision making for management involving capital asset purchases
and expensive for projects and/or strategic initiatives.
2.1.11 Responsible for monitoring and enforcing safety procedures to conform to appropriate regulatory
and company standards.
Skills:
3 EDUCATION
3.1.1 Associates degree in engineering required.

4 EXPERIENCE
4.1.1 Minimum experience level: 5-7 years.
4.2 Experience Area
4.2.1 Proven leader in the Technical field with experience working with customers.
4.2.2 Clear understanding of ASTM specification E 606.
4.2.3 Working knowledge of GE aircraft engine specification E50TF148.
4.2.4 Working knowledge with the operation of MTS Servo Hydraulic Fatigue Stands and Test Star controller
(Alignment, Calibration of Extensometers, Temperature Profiles, Switch to load control).
4.2.5 Practical experience with Aerospace Alloys at elevated temperatures.
4.2.6 Knowledge of KiC, JiC, and Crack Propagation a plus.
5 ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND LICENSES
5.1 Knowledge, skills, and abilities
5.1.1 Experience in managing complex business relationships, both internal and external, where conflicting
priorities of team members must be managed with customer satisfaction as a primary goal.
5.1.2 Ability to operate a motor vehicle within Company policy. A valid Driver’s license is required.
5.1.3 Availability, flexibility, and maturity to represent the company at a broad range of events in the
community, with customers and within the company.
5.1.4 Ability to remain calm when faced with mounting pressure related to deadlines and multiple priorities.
5.1.5 Well developed oral and written communication skills to meet a variety of communication needs
(performance reviews, presentations, employee training and development, and leadership)
5.1.6 Strong interpersonal skills that foster open upward and downward communication built on mutual
respect.
5.1.7 Ability to interface with clients, win new work and determine their requirements; develops proposals
including cost estimates, work plan and terms and conditions.
5.1.8 Laboratory and/or field-testing and inspections capability.
