CDI is looking for a Welding Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive technical experience with welding. Processes included new and old metals in a repair environment for turbine alloys. He or she will supervise and interact with 60-70 welders daily and will required to training welders. This person will need to be heavy into all welding aspects with some research and development. Knowledge of TIG welding processes and certification to inspect those processes is a must. This position will be heavily involved in the application of newly developed welding processes to existing manufacturing operations. The position is primarily in the office with some minor field work and a lot of time on the factory floor. ISO9000 exposure is a plus. Minimal travel involved. Computer skills required with MS Word and Excel is required. The ideal candidate will be local to the Houston area. This is a contract to direct position with a major OEM in the Houston area.
