Title: Inspector
Reports To:Staff Project Coordinator; Operations Manager
Location:Bristol, TN
Responsibilities:Immediate need for resident inspectors in Bristol, TN to oversee and provide detailed reports on production/manufacture of 800H Alloy Pipe with the responsibility of ensuring adherence to codes, standards, order specifications and conditions and the task of determining if the equipment and materials meet the acceptance criteria of the order. Must be familiar with pipe and RT Level II or Level III certified. Manufacture duration is expected to extend through Sept, 2006 or longer. This is a resident position.
Qualifications:
A. Education
Formal education in welding and NDE preferred, but equivalent experience will be strongly considered
B. Experience
Minimum 5 years documented experience with NDE, fabrication and inspection activities (vendor surveillance preferred). Experience in inspection for chemical, refinery or related industrial fields is preferred.
C. Professional Skills, Knowledge and Personal Qualities
Candidate must be current AWS certified welding inspector, knowledgeable of specific codes and standards pertinent to welding and pressure vessel manufacture, must be able to read drawings, prepare and keep records, prepare detailed reports and make responsible judgments.
