PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Set up, operate and initiate repairs on most equipment used in Inspection department. Evaluate inspection results and make disposition of inspected material. Perform three (3) of five (5) major functions in Inspection department, i.e., ultrasonic testing, dye penetrant testing, radiographic testing, dimensional/visual testing, and maintain calibration system. Perform in-process verifications.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
High school graduate or GED plus two (2) years college or technical school or equivalent. Must be certified ASNT Level II in two (2) of the following: dye penetrant, ultrasonic inspection, radiography, dimensional inspection, and calibration. Must have basic computer skills.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Minimum one (1) year NDT experience and three (3) years dimensional inspection experience. Appropriate technical training may compensate for experience.
