Our client provides quality assurance and inspections services to the construction and structural steel industries. They currently have an opening for a Contract Manager/ Corporate Level III in Midwestern location. This position involves the management of multiple client contracts to provide quality assurance and inspection services to their clients, primarily in the areas of structural steel and pre-stressed concrete fabrication review and field erection, as well as the maintenance and administration of the corporate NDE program. Regular travel may be required to attend prefabrication and pre-construction meetings, meet with field staff, provide general oversight, meet with clients, and to visit other client’s offices. The contract manager will be responsible for the maintenance of existing clients and the maximizing of existing term agreements. The contract manager will provide preliminary marketing activities and identification of upcoming potential projects. The contract manager is responsible for managing various task order and assignment specific contracts currently being executed for clients located in several other locations within their western region. The primary responsibility of the contract manager will be to manage the provision of the services to the client. A primary responsibility of the contract manager will be to execute the quality assurance and inspection assignments using the network of inspectors. Background in DOT related projects including bridge and highway construction. Experience with pre-stressed concrete, structural steel and welding required. Four-year college degree with a major in engineering (mechanical, civil, or structural preferred) required. Licensed professional engineer or ability to do so within one year required. Certification as a CWI and ASNT Level III NDT required. Working knowledge of AWS D1.1, AWS D1.5, and ASSHO required; Ability to manage a NDE training and certification program. Expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Lotus Notes preferred; familiarity with Deltak a plus.
