Location: PCC Merida, Mexico plant
PCC Airfoils S.A. de C.V. is located in Merida, MX, the capital of the State of Yucatan. This facility was opened in 2001 to assist in the finishing operation for two of the U.S.-based PCC Airfoils’ facilities. PCC Airfoils has eleven (11) manufacturing locations in three (3) countries, employing over 2,500 with sales volume in excess of $700 million annually. The Merida facility employs nearly 150 production and salaried workers, handling $20 million in finishing product. The facility is projected for an increase in volume and employment levels over the next 18 months. PCC is a leading manufacturing company in the investment casting industry (aerospace and industrial gas turbine) and are currently seeking to fill the position of a bilingual (English and Spanish) NDT Inspector Level III for Radiography and Penetrant for the Merida plant.

Skills:
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Interface with U.S. operations regarding technical and production issues.
2. Interface with customer representatives for relevant quality/ technical issues.
3. Technical responsibility for X-Ray operators and X-Ray process.
4. Interpret codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods to meet industry and customer requirements.
5. Prepare and implement X-ray techniques.
6. Prepare and approve NDT procedures and other related NDT work instructions.
7. Conduct training and examination of NDT personnel.
8. Perform documented over-inspection of X-Ray Level II personnel.
9. Maintain/achieve necessary accreditations including Nadcap, ISO, PCC, and Aerospace customers.

Qualifications:
1. X-Ray Level III certification or min. 4yrs. experience Level II.
2. Minimum of high school diploma with related experience or College Degree, preferred
3. Bilingual in English and Spanish; TOEFL not required.
4. General knowledge of all NDT methods, experience in FPI a plus.
5. Experience with investment castings.
6. Knowledge of Pratt Whitney, GE, and Snecma product a plus.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing Level 1 and 2 technicians for all non-destructive testing of typical discontinuities found in castings. Other duties include the ability to interpret codes, standards and other contractual documents (i.e. NADCAP) that control NDT methods used by the company; capability to select the method and develop techniques for a specific NDT examination; preparation and verification of the adequacy of procedures in the method certified; approval of NDT procedures and other related work instructions for technical adequacy; providing or directing training, examination and qualification of personnel in the method certified; the ability to perform internal audits to ensure the requirements of written procedures are met; daily verification of system performance of the NDT area and document results as required; maintenance of compliance of all materials used in the NDT area; and ensuring the quality and integrity of all parts submitted to the Company for testing.
The position requires a minimum of a high school diploma and the certification requirements for Level III in compliance with NAS-410. Five years aerospace experience is desired along with strong bi-lingual communication skills (both written and oral) with the ability to process data into useful reports.
