Project Overview
South Africa has a huge power problem and they are renovating their old plants as a stop gap measure. These plants are coal-fired. Some have not been running for years.
They are in the process of re-commissioning various plants. Initially, this project will be performing Outage type work.
Strong technical background with at least five years related experience on Steam Turbines, Generators and related Auxiliaries.
Conversant with Quality System, Safety Systems, and Disciplinary code.
Supervision experience with strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and supervision skills with the ability to manage subordinates to achieve the required objectives.
Computer literate in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Must be fully literate in English, in reading, writing and speaking, with Technical Report writing skills and required to communicate in English at all times.
The ability to function effectively in a team environment.
Start Date: January 8, 2207
Duration: 1 year +
Workweek: 6 – 10 hour days
R&R: 10 days every 4 months. Travel paid to
fly back & forth to point of origin.
Housing: 2 or 3 bedroom homes are provided & shared
w/2 or 3 contractors.
Driving: Transportation provided via car pool.
Per Diem: US$50/per day for meals and incidentals

Certified NDE /NDT Level II in UT, MT, PT, RT, VT, ET.
