Precision Technology USA, a leader in linear actuation systems, is seeking an experienced Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to perform Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) on Electro-mechanical actuators and associated controls.

Ideal candidate will be responsible for defining and resolving customer critical product reliability issues through data analysis and cross-functional teams. This position will employ statistical analysis, root cause corrective action, facilitation, leadership, and change management skills to achieve project goals. This position will also provide project test requirements, both reliability and performance, in addition to supporting the design engineers through test planning, execution, and report generation. Design and oversee the performance of accelerated stress and life testing of products during design, development and manufacturing. Maintain and analyze the component, module and unit failure database. Predict component, module and unit MTBFs (Mean Time Between Failures.) Establish reliability monitoring procedures for internal operations. Advise on the transfer of reliable products from engineering prototypes to production. Train and mentor others in reliability concepts and techniques. Support product validation and quality testing when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• The Reliability Engineer will conduct, analyze, and document studies that predict life times, MTBF, MTTR
• The individual must have experience in conducting failure analysis of test parts and field failures as well as use failure modes and effects criticality analysis (FMECA/FMEA) to identify product and process weaknesses. They must be capable of recommending, establishing and conducting the testing solutions to address these weaknesses.
• Additionally will provide support to both the engineering development and the production support environments. The Reliability Engineer will work closely with Engineering, Program Management, Logistics and Production in above listed activities.
• Individual requires strong leadership and vision to ensure and improve the reliability of the products. Good communication, documentation and organization skills are a must.
• Selected candidate will champion all reliability activities and must be a timely and results driven individual.

Requirements:
• Bachelors degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
• 2 or more years of recent experience in reliability assessment using RELEX software; familiar with NPRD95 and the Generic Parts Count Method
• Previous experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) processes including extrapolating R&M assessments into preventative and corrective maintenance plans, spare parts lists, and safety assessment plans will be given strong positive consideration.
• Strong analytical, project management, communications skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Solidworks is desirable,
• General knowledge of databases and statistics is desirable.
• Test Engineering experience a plus.
• Prior military experience is a major plus
