Pay: Up to $52000
Primarily to conduct Fire Equipment Service Inspections at various Fire Departments and manufacturing facilities building Fire Apparatus. Will be called upon to operate a company van with up to 50% travel to visit fire departments to perform nondestructive testing inspections. Daily local travel to visit customer sites and perform inspections and verify torque to established requirements. Identifies nonconformances and prepares reports. Reviews management systems and capabilites to determine if they are suitable and effective for purpose of the UL program. Assists in the evalutation of alternate components and systems. Assists in the promotion, marketing and selling of new and existing UL services. Works with internal and external customers to resolve technical and administrative problems. And may also conduct product safety inspections.
Skills:
AAS in Non-Destructive Testing.
Candidate must possess a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical ability. Knowledge of Non-Destructive testing required. Candidate with previous certification to CP 189 or SNT-TC-1A in any of the above four methods is a plus. Must be able to work in confined spaces, must be able to lift at least 70lbs. Candidate must meet vision requirements as listed in CP 189. Must be able to work in elevated spaces. Requires good computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, IBM Laptop Computer/Lotus Notes. Position requires travel.
