Lear Siegler Services, a leading DOD contractor is Looking to fill a qualified, experienced aircraft Non Destructive Inspector slot at our Elizabeth City, NC aircraft Maintenance facility. Qualified applicants would have the following qualifications: Must have five years of actual or recent related experience in the production control field consistent with the requirements set forth in the contract/delivery order. Must have excellent communication skills along with planning/organizing skills, and work well under deadlines. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as man-hour standards and percentages. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to work through problems effectively involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a security clearance. Typical hanger/aircraft environment, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines. This appointment may be required to work variable shifts (Day shift and Night shift) which is determined by management. Shift is subject to change based on business needs. Knowledge of Military Technical Publications, Lubrication Orders and Modification Work Orders. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license as a condition of employment and be able to operate worked equipment. Must be able to lift fifty pounds unassisted frequently following safety precautions. Works over head, mobile working from ladders and tall structures, reaching under aircraft, laying down and working, crawling, bending, and moving in a full range of motion while operating tools and machinery to repair aircraft. Lifting foot to waist and working in extreme temperatures. Prolonged walking and standing, squatting and climbing. May be exposed to irritants, dust solvents, chemicals, using safety measures and precautions.

Skills:
Position Description : The responsibilities include routine inspection of primary and secondary airframe structural elements utilizing eddy current, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, fluorescent penetrant, and radiography. These applications are performed in sometime tight and confining spaces. The candidate must have the qualifications for a Level II certification IAW NAS-410 standard in eddy current, ultrasonic, magnetic particle, fluorescent penetrant, and the radiography inspection applications. Candidate shall have knowledge of radiation safety in accordance with Code of Federal Regulations. The individual will be required to successfully pass certification exams administered by USCG ABB NDI, Level III engineer. Candidate must be able to successfully pass an eye examination as outlined in NAS-410. Candidates will be required to show proof of method qualifications IAW NAS-410 or equivalent. Level II Inspector shall have the skill and knowledge to set up test equipment, conduct tests on various types of articles and materials, interpret the results effectively, and determine the acceptance or rejection of the article based on certified criteria or the designated Level III Inspector.
