Our client has provides engineered solutions for bleed air duct systems, precision sheet metal fabrications, bellows, metal hose assemblies, and other pressure carrying components for all military and commercial aircraft. This position requires the selection, and evaluation (s) of results of all NDT methods. Must be ASNT certified in Level III in Radiography, and Liquid Penetrant. Ability to evaluate specifications, procedures and techniques to manufacturing operations. Will train, coach and facilitate individuals and groups in various quality special process evaluations. In addition to supporting the NDT technical staff you will be required to provide technical expertise to engineering to ensure utilization of cost effective and efficient NDT processes to satisfy customer requirements as well as company objectives. Will be the focal point for Nadcap and customer audits and certification (s) for NDT processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Prepares and initiates techniques and methods to ensure compliance to company NDT specifications, and customer requirements. Provides direct technical support, direction and interpretation to all NDT and Special Process personnel. Prepares documents and procedures to control all aspects of the NDT processes to meet all requirements of company specifications and customer requirements along with industry standards (Nadcap, NAS, Mil Standards etc.) Evaluates and renders final interpretations on issues related to NDT processes, methods and techniques. Prepares and performs NDT and Special Process training to personnel to meet qualification and certification requirements, and to comply with all industry requirements. Will prepare and perform all NDT examinations for the qualification and certification of NDT personnel. Prepares and performs NDT and special process audits for both internal and external requirements. Interfaces with customers on technical issues concerning NDT processes and evaluations, along with all test and compliance methods, specifications or procedures. Acts as the focal point for all Nadcap NDT process audits and corrective actions. Establishes and maintains NDT equipment preventative maintenance requirements. Develops Capital equipment plans for the up-grade of NDT equipment. Excellent benefits to include Medical, Dental, 401K. Relocation on a case by case basis. Skills:
Extensive NADCAP Audit experience required in PT and RT environments. ASNT Level III in RT and PT. Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney approvals preferred.
