Petersen Engineering Incorporated (PEI), located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a team of experienced pipeline engineers, designers, inspectors, and Right-of-Way personnel. We provide experience and consultation expertise in developing projects from concept to completion for liquid and gas pipeline operators throughout the U.S. PEI’s primary client base is the oil, gas, and telecommunications industries.

We are searching for Corrosion Inspectors, with NACE certification, for pipeline rehab project work to:

•Locate and stake underground pipelines
•Verify correct dig locations
•Create etchings of anomalies
•Collect pit depth readings of anomalies
•Collect UT gage readings of remaining pipe wall
•Monitor NDT of anomalies and final repairs
•Coating applications and
•Complete all documentation as required to meet all applicable DOT rules and regulations.

Candidates must be able to work independently with limited supervision while communicating effectively with supervisor, company personnel, corporate departments, as well as, external customers.

Requirements:
Minimum three years of experience in mitigation of corrosion of pipelines within DOT regulated ROWs. Working knowledge of 49CFR192 and 195. Should have a good knowledge in GPS, CIS, DCVG, Soil Resistivity, Rectifiers, Anodes, Bonds, Leak Surveys, etc. Experience in corrosion control, protective coatings and cathodic protection is preferred. OSHA training, OQ (NCCER, OQforAll, and Veriforce, etc) certifications, and NACE certifications are desirable. Must have good PC skills in Microsoft Office, strong verbal and written communication skills, and analytical and problem solving skills.
