1. Perform examinations such as visual welding, NDE (MT, PT), structural steel erection and concrete. Coordinate work of subcontractors providing NDE, soils testing, and post weld heat-treating services.
2. Assist in the identification and control of defects created by company, subcontractor, or others through quality management, notification of supervisors, and training.
3. Perform routine quality assurance assignments requiring independent judgment while supporting multiple craft disciplines.
4. Assist in the management of project quality group, including work assignments, personnel and office administration, staffing, and training.
5. Prepare quality program records and documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, distribution, and quality.
6. Conduct work area audits, surveillance, inspections, and tests of company and subcontractor or vendor activities. Investigate defective product and/or deficient processes. Accompany third party inspection groups.
7. Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction or as the need arises.

1. Two-year technical degree plus minimum of three years experience in quality control inspection, construction, operations or equivalent combinations of training and/or related experience.
2. Effective knowledge of quality codes and standards. Certified in ASNT Level II (at least two methods (MT and PT)) and holds AWS QC1 Welding Inspector certification.
3. Proven ability to identify and control existing and predictable deficiencies and to implement effective corrective measures.
4. Proven capability to operate and calibrate QC examination equipment.
5. Effective written and oral communication skills.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills.
