Ultrasonic Level 3 Job Description
Perform functions normally assigned to an NDT L3 in Ultrasonics. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
1. Writing and revision of UT procedures.
2. Develop, document, approve and implement new UT techniques.
3. Provide NDT training and administer certification tests to NDT technicians.
4. Customer Service and coordinating work outside our facility.
5. Quoting of work orders.
6. .Provide NDT technical support to other XRI-Testing facilities and our customers, i.e. scan plans, interpretation of indications, codes, standards & specification interpretations found by inspectors during inspection operations.
7. Maintaining and supporting the Quality System.
8. Local & some out of state travel required.
9. Equipment purchase recommendations.
10. Continuing education in the UT method

Skills:
Position is full-time. There is possible short term travel both local and customer sites.
Current or prior certification as a UT L3 required: Must be certifiable to NAS 410 and have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an NDT Level 3 Examiner . Knowledge in the other methods is required such as Radiography, Eddy Current, Liquid Penetrant, etc. ASNT Level 3 and/or ACCP Professional Level 3 certification in Ultrasonic Inspection preferred. Contact & Immersion inspection experience of multiple product forms desirable.
Knowledge of G.E. Power, G.E. Wind and/or Rolls Royce Standards helpful.
