A large international corporation has a Manufacturing Engineering position open at their division producing cold form / cold headed components. We are searching for candidates with direct cold head experience. The main focus of this position is to support the shop floor. Tool design and CAD design is preferred, however, floor support and continuous improvements are key to this position. Past experience improving processes, reducing cost, improving tool life, tool ware, up time and productivity is needed for this position. Strong hands on problem solving skills and the ability to keep the machines up and running is also a must. Knowledge of multi die, multi blow headers, cold heading is required. Experience directly on Waterbury cold forming equipment is preferred. This position works closely with the machinists, production supervisors and tool room. Past experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement techniques is a huge plus. Candidates will need a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting a high volume cold forming environment. Interested candidates will need solid problem solving skills and a 4 year technical degree.
