Our client is a full service NDT laboratory who caters to the inspection needs of the aerospace, petrochemical, paper & pulp, fabrication industry is seeking to hire a RSO Safety Manager for their southeast location.
As a Radiation Safety Officer duties include compliance with Radiation Safety Program, State of Georgia Rules and Regulations and NRC Enhanced Security Program. Will perform calibration of survey meters, dosimeters and rate alarms for South Central Region. Will be responsible for Environmental Safety to include maintenance of MSDS's, regulation, storage and disposal of all chemicals and chemical waste products per Environmental Procedure. Also will oversea Occupational Safety to include ensuring compliance with Safe Work Practice Manual, Fleet Safety Procedure, Job Hazard Analysis Program and local clients shop and plant site specific safety programs.
Successful candidate will have 5 Years experience in Radiation Safety (to include experience with 773 calibrator and formal Radiation Safety Officer training), working knowledge of OSHA and NRC Enhanced Security. Must have a current 10 hour OSHA Card and be a carded radiographer.
This position reports to Division Manager, Regional Radiation Safety, and Regional Safety Manager. Must be willing to travel when necessary, and also week-end work may be required.
