NC Programming Manager – leadership, NC Programming, machining, aerospace

Major manufacturer of highly engineered aerospace components is searching for a Manager to direct all their NC programming activities. The CNC Programming Manager will lead, plan and oversee all NC programming functions. Managing 25 employees, the NC Programming Manager is responsible for supporting manufacturing processes, operation sheets / work instructions, tooling process standards, specifications and all related functions required for the machining and assembly of components. This department provides cost estimates, process development, process planning, CNC programs, tool designs, fixturing and support as it relates to NC programs in the metals and composites business units. The manager will develop and improve methods for coordinating plant initiatives to standardize the NC programming functions. This position is the liaison with production engineering and/or the customer to provide design for manufacturing / design for cost decisions and trade offs in order to maximize productibility, review of reports, cost, schedules, design changes, manufacturing methods, processes and tooling to ensure customer requirements and estimates are achieved. Interested candidates will need a BS degree in mechanical, manufacturing or industry engineering. Candidates having a MBA are preferred.

MUST HAVE: a BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering. Candidates with a BSBA or MBA are preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing / aerospace and 5 plus years in engineering management experience is required. NC programming using CAD/CAM system to analyze and modify part models and progams. Unigraphics and/or CATIA are preferred.
