Skills:
FUNCTION:
In an assigned area or cell, hold at least two (2) Level II inspection certifications in FPI, MPI, Eddy Current, or Ultrasonic. Utilize these certifications to inspect a wide variety of aerospace production or overhaul and repair parts, components, or subassemblies. Accept or reject parts and materials based on findings and specifications.

TYPICAL DUTIES:
„« Follow established methods and techniques of certification process used, in order to assess the current condition of the part, and determine if the part is accepted or rejected.

„« Exercise some judgment, based on inspection expertise, certification technique applied, and part knowledge, as basis for accepting or rejecting the parts within mandatory specifications.

„« Review and propose changes in inspection or machining methods and techniques to meet new or changed requirements.

„« Perform other in-house certified inspection applications such as Nital Etch, Rockwell Testing, and Conductivity checks.

„« Utilize all available documentation and work with Quality Engineering, and Production Supervision to investigate and resolve reasons for non-conformance of parts.

Support Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement initiatives and function on Continuous Improvement teams with inspection or production as requested/needed using assorted techniques and applications.
