Position Description:

The available position is for a self-motivated, mechanically-oriented individual with at least 5 years experience in an engineering and/or industrial environment with relevant experience in designing, drafting, and machining processes. Individuals considered for this position will be in a growth position working with experienced engineers and developers to design and fabricate prototype hardware related to inspection of nuclear and fossil power plant components. This position requires experience with 3D modeling programs such as Solid Works. Experience with nondestructive testing required with related experience with advanced ultrasonic methods such as phased array and time of flight diffraction preferred.

Qualified individuals will have demonstrated administrative and technical skills, strong attention to detail, creativity, and sound engineering judgment in anticipating and solving challenging problems. Successful candidates will also have superior written and oral communication skills. Individuals with science or engineering related degrees are preferred.
The positions will require direct project involvement and travel as necessitated by customer support requests.

Key Accountabilities:

• Design and drafting of prototype inspection system components
• Machining custom parts
• Utilize Solidworks to create manufacturing drawings
• Geometrical Dimension & Tolerance experience a plus
• Communicate and coordinate with staff to maintain smooth flow of daily activities
• Assist with drawings and related documentation
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Skills:
Qualifications & Experience:

• General knowledge of fabrication concepts, welding, materials and processes
• Ability to create and read basic mechanical drawings
• Ability to read, comprehend and/or prepare technical specifications and procedures
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software with basic computer skills
• Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and detail oriented
• Professional appearance and exhibit professional behavior
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments
• Open to flexible and/or extended work hours and job responsibilities


Education:

High School Diploma, with secondary education leading toward an AAS/BS in NDE, science, materials, or engineering.
