For more information, visit our website at www.vatechhydro-usa.com THE POSITION VA Tech Hydro USA has an immediate opening for a site Quality Coordinator with a minimum of 5 years experience. This individual will represent the company on hydropower refurbishment projects, changing project locations as required. Specific responsibilities include: • Develop procedures, document processes, and implement programs for quality management. • Perform examination and testing of materials and components at the vendor, upon receipt, and at installation, in the US and abroad. • Evaluate indications/defects in components utilizing all types of non-destructive testing and perform analysis of conformity to standards. • Resolve problems by collaborating with vendors, engineering, project management, and customers. • Prepare and maintain quality records and inspection reports. • Represent the company in all quality matters. • Develop and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, subcontractors and co-workers.
Skills:
We seek a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with good judgment and the following credentials:
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in industrial construction with responsibility for quality/inspection.
• Working knowledge of ASME and AWS Codes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement procedures and programs.
• Proven ability to creatively overcome problems and work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
