CNC Process Engineer Technician – tooling, fixturing, programming, process, R&D

We are searching for hands on candidates to work from the engineering department, developing new processes. The Engineering Tech is responsible for optimizing processes prior to production. This position requires customer contact and some travel to customer locations. Interested candidates will need experience on CNC lathes, mills, cutting tools, work holding devices and fixtures. Knowledge of CNC programming, CAD CAM software machine set up, speeds and feeds, GD&T, blue print reading and debugging. Past experience developing CNC processes, documenting processes, writing work instructions and training operators on the new process is also required. R&D, tool trials and continuous improvement experience is a big plus. Past project management experience is also a plus. We will consider candidates with solid CNC programming skills. Candidates might come from the CNC programmer, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technician or Supervision ranks. The ideal candidate will have a 2 year degree or continuing education and/or equivalent work experience. Good written and verbal communication skills will be needed.

MUST HAVE: experience processing, programming, setting up, debugging and cutting tool experience. The ability to travel, communicate with engineers and customers.. 2 year degree or continuing technical education is preferred.
