There is a position available for an X-Ray Technician with Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company –Graham, KY reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance. Salary Grade 8.
Requirements:
Must be level 2 certified (1200 hours along with 80 classroom course hours and Level 2 certification. Experience in non-destructive testing, particularly relative to explosives or energetic materials in a Lean Manufacturing setting is desired. Ability to secure and maintain security clearance required.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for daily operation of real-time x-ray machine and any associated equipment. This includes loading sample into the machine, operating the machine in accordance with approved technique, ensuring a quality image is obtained & stored, and offloading the sample. Read & interpret images to determine conformance to specifications. Investigate/highlight non-conformances. Log data/results as required and notify affected parties on results. Assist in investigations; highlight trends associated with products or characteristics. Perform routine housekeeping duties in work area. Maintain supplies as needed for ensure economical operability. Schedule work/prioritize, and perform any other miscellaneous duties as requested by supervision.
