Responsible for performing physical inspections of attraction components and assemblies as specified by Engineering and legal requirements. Components and systems may either be new, in-service, or were previously in-service. Inspectors utilize a wide variety of specialized equipment and methods to detect metal fatigue, corrosion, and dimensional characteristics. Record and forward inspection results to cognizant Engineers for evaluation. Write specialized procedures and provide leadership and training. Complete documentation in accordance with applicable procedures. Documentation includes digital photographs, sketches, written reports, and updating applicable logs and databases. Verify that operations are in accordance with Engineering and legal requirements. Verification ranges from witnessing welders tests to checking torque wrenches on specialized calibrating equipment. Write specialized inspection procedures in accordance with nationally recognized standards. Provide training to other Cast Members on procedures.



Skills:
Required Qualifications:
* HS/GED
* Level II qualification and certification in accordance with American Society for Nondestructive Testing requirements in Visual Inspection.
* Ability to utilize precision inspection equipment which includes specialized software.
* Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite to maintain records.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to understand and follow procedures.
* Acceptable eye sight in accordance with American Society for Nondestructive Testing standards.
* Demonstrated orientation to adapt in a flexible, fast-paced work environment.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
7-10 years experience Mechanical Inspection, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (e.g. ANSI/ASME 14.5M), American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector, Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines.
