We work directly with the hiring manager for this position.

Communicate and maintain the mechanical integrity programs for fixed equipment in assigned areas. Inspectors are responsible to develop electronic Inspection Plans, perform and document physical inspections of process plants and blending/shipping facilities. This includes planning and performing on-stream, emergency and shutdown inspections, and directing the work of inspection contractors. The Inspector predicts equipment corrosion using non destructive examination (NDE) and process data analysis, and works with other groups to maintain overall plant reliability. The Inspector may be assigned a mentor to assist with understanding of job responsibilities & work processes. This position periodically requires working beyond the 40 hour work week.
Skills:
Required Qualifications:

•High School Diploma or equivalent.
•Minimum of 5 years in the petrochemical industry as an Equipment Inspector.
•Experience performing on-stream & shutdown inspections of refinery equipment.
•Strong computer skills are required to maintain Inspection Database & analyze CM data.
•Plans resources to perform on-stream inspection, shutdown inspections & sets priorities to meet deadlines.
•Ability to work on numerous projects at one time & uses sense of urgency to bring technical issues to a close.
•Credibility demonstrated with clear, concise & accurate expression of facts, both written & verbally.
•Actively participates in or has led Safety Programs. Personal record reflects the support of safety objectives.
•This is a safety sensitive position and will be subject to random drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

•Bachelors Degree is preferred, Industrial Technology degree is a plus.
•National Board Inspection Code (NBIC) commission or American Petroleum Institute (API) certification is preferred.
