Production Manager – planning, scheduling, leadership, machining, Lean, 5-S

A world class publicly traded corporation is expanding their North Carolina facility. We are searching for Degreed candidates with experience managing and coaching in a production manufacturing environment. The Production Manger will need past experience managing salaried associates in a Lean / Continuous Improvement environment. This manager is responsible for the overall operations of a production machining area and heavily involved with planning, scheduling and allocating resources to meet production goals. Past experience reviewing production reports and solving manufacturing issues to ensure minimum cost and prevent operational delays, work flow, associate utilization, develop preventative action plans to improve machine up time and product flow. The Production Manager will champion improvement activities and facilitate Lean projects. Past experience reviewing production orders and schedules to ascertain production data such as types, quantities and specifications of products / scheduled delivery dates are in order to plan departments operations. Candidates with experience in machining, injection mold and/or assembly will be preferred. Past experience using SAP systems software is a big plus. Experience with Lean Manufacturing and facilitating continuous improvement projects to reduce waste, material flow, labor, downtime, set up times, while improving cost, quality and throughput is a must.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 3 years of experience managing salaried supervisors, 5 years in a production manufacturing environment, experience in a Lean / ERP environment, solid problem solving skills and a 4 year degree.
