This is an excellent opportunity to join our staff in a role that will provide strategic direction for ATK Tactical Propulsion and Controls locations.

Alliant Techsystems, Tactical Propulsion and Controls Division, with an office located in Rocket Center, WVA is currently seeking a Non-Destructive Inspection Engineer that will support a wide variety of non-destructive inspection activities including design, development and implementation of traditional and emerging non-destructive inspection methods into our Aerospace manufacturing and production lines.

Skills:
Responsibilities for this position include:
- Oversight of automated inspection equipment, research and procurement of new test equipment.
- Support of Plant business proposals and non-destructive test engineering approval of component/product design.
- Perform NDT system audits at suppliers/sub-contractors.

Requirements for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 2 or more years experience in Non-Destructive Testing
- Prefer hands-on experience with NDT
- US Citizenship required in order to obtain a Secret Clearance; ATF clearance maybe required
- Background in NDT of Aerospace products
- Documented hours as a NDT Level II Ultrasonic and/or Radiographic inspector (Level I may be considered)
- Experience with NAS 410 NDI requirements
- Capable of developing basic NDT techniques
- Experience with specification interpretation
- Basic PC skills including knowledge of MS Office products
- Familiar with basic dimensional inspection equipment, micrometers, etc.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) data management
