Major Function:

MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND BE ABLE TO ACHIEVE UNESCORTED ACCESS INTO A US NUCLEAR FACILITY.

Position is TEMPORARY with per diem and not in Alabama.

SHOULD HAVE:
Priority is given to personnel that have obtained unescorted access within the last 365 days.

Understand DSC/ISFSI Operations.

Understand 10CFR Part 72 Requirements.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

PT and VT Methods –

To ensure material and weld quality by means of Dye Penetrant and Visual Weld Examination for DSC/ISFSI operations.
Responsible for the evaluation of surface areas for the evaluation of bevel edges, root and hot passes, final weld and repair excavations, as specified by code or customer specifications.
Perform ANSI N45.2 VT Mechanical inspections as related to DSC/ISFSI components.
Perform daily process controls, calibration checks and maintain accurate records (logs) per quality program requirements.
General housekeeping and proper cleanliness are essential minimize contamination and for safe operation of equipment.
Troubleshoot and solve any issues that may arise with inspection equipment and data acquisition system.
Work with project team to keep inspection group well supplied with all necessary materials and equipment in proper working condition.
Maintain reporting in project documentation on a daily basis.

Skills:
Materials/Skills Utilized:
1. General hand tools and specific NDE equipment.
2. Quality measuring equipment and gauges relating to visual inspections.
3. Specific NDE related chemicals and instruments.
4. Applicable codes and specifications relating to quality mandates, accept/reject criteria and written instructions or procedure.
5. Use all error reduction and human performance tools.

Qualifications:
Level II candidates shall provide evidence and have the ability to achieve Level II certification upon hiring.
Meet or exceed the criteria specified within CP-189-2006 edition and TriVis Corporations’ Written Practice.
